Welcome to Each of Us Has a Name
Welcome! Each of Us Has a Name is a Holocaust remembrance organization. We collect the names of people who died in the Holocaust so that users may say Kaddish (The Jewish mourning prayer) for them individually instead of as a faceless mass of 6 million. To find out more about us, go to Our Mission.
There are three ways that you can use "Each of has a Name" to remember these people:
- Visit the website daily/weekly to get a list of people whose Yahrtzeits are approaching. The names of people whose yahrzeits are approaching can be found in the lower left section of most pages, on the Upcoming Yahrzeits page, and on the mobile site (http://m.eachofushasaname.org).
- "Adopt" an individual (or individuals) for whom to say Kaddish. You can do this by clicking on the link that says "adopt" on their page. "Each of us has a Name" will send you annual email reminders when their Yahrtzeits are approaching. Contact us to create an account.
- Help us build our database by adding the names � either people you know or people you research.
